Paste app for Windows? Here is a cross-platform alternative

Paste is one of the nicest-looking clipboard managers available, but it is built for Apple devices only. If your day includes a Windows PC, a Chromebook or an Android phone, you need something else for those machines.

Paste facts

Paste is a clipboard manager for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Its pricing page lists an annual plan at $29.99 a year (shown as $2.49 a month) with a 7-day free trial. Paste for Mac is also available through Setapp. We found no Windows or Android version on Paste's site. (Checked October 23, 2026. Prices change, so check Paste's own page.)

If every device you use is made by Apple, Paste is a strong choice and syncs well across that ecosystem.

Common setups

Mac at home, Windows at work

Install Clipboard History Pro in Chrome or Edge on both. Turn on Pro sync. Text you copy in the browser on one computer is in the history on the other. You can keep Paste on the Mac too.

Android phone and any computer

Install the extension on the computer and the Clipboard History Mobile app on the phone. With Pro, clipboard text syncs between them. More in clipboard history on Android.

Chromebook

ChromeOS shows only the last 5 copied items with Search+V. A Chrome extension is the main way to get a longer history there. See clipboard history on Chromebook.

Privacy

Clipboard History Pro stores your history locally in the browser. It is sent to the cloud only when you turn on Pro sync. You can delete single items, clear everything, or have old items removed after a set time.

What you get for free

Pro adds phone sync, floating mode, the page widget, a passcode lock, and unlimited shortcuts and tags. See pricing and the full feature list.
