Sources: Chrome Web Store listings for each extension, Magical's and Text Blaze's own pricing/help pages, and third-party extension trackers (chrome-stats.com, extensionreviewer.com), checked October 2026. Ratings, prices, and feature sets change -- verify current numbers on each vendor's own page before deciding. Magical's own marketing copy cites larger lifetime user figures (e.g. "950,000 users") that are not reflected in its current Chrome Web Store install count; we report the Chrome Web Store figure since that is what's independently verifiable.

Why isn't Clipboard History Pro's rating higher?

We're not going to bury this: Clipboard History Pro's Chrome Web Store rating (3.0/5, 787 ratings) is the lowest of the three tools on this page. The reviews that drag it down name specific, real bugs -- clipboard capture silently stopping after a browser restart, and clipboard history being lost when memory runs high. Both are reliability problems, not missing-feature complaints, and both are things we can actually fix.

The capture-after-restart bug was fixed in version 4.2.1 (shipped Oct 17, 2026). We've also moved our in-app review prompt later in the onboarding flow so it shows up after someone has used the product for a while, not on day one. If you tried Clipboard History Pro before and hit one of these issues, we'd genuinely like to know if it's fixed for you -- email support@clipboardextension.com.

Common Questions When Choosing Between Them

"I just want to stop losing what I copy."

That's the one thing neither Text Blaze nor Magical does -- they don't keep a history of your clipboard at all. If clipboard history (not just text expansion) is the actual problem you're solving, Clipboard History Pro is the only one of the three built for it.

"I need to autofill forms with CRM/lead data, not just expand text."

That's Magical's specific strength -- it pulls data from pages and fills forms, which neither Text Blaze nor Clipboard History Pro does. If form autofill from live page data is your core use case, Magical's feature set is built for it; you'll need to contact their sales team for current pricing.

"I only need text expansion, nothing else."

Text Blaze is purpose-built for this and has the strongest rating of the three (4.9/5). If you don't need clipboard history or form autofill, it's a reasonable, cheaper option on its Pro plan ($2.99/mo billed yearly).

"Clipboard History Pro's rating worries me."

Fair. Read the honest note above -- we named the specific bugs, when they were fixed, and how to reach us if a fix didn't work for you. The free plan costs nothing to try for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Text Blaze or Magical manage clipboard history?

No. Text Blaze and Magical are text-expansion and autofill tools: you define a shortcut and it types out pre-written text. Neither one keeps a searchable history of everything you copy. Clipboard History Pro does both -- it saves every item you copy automatically and also lets you build text-expansion shortcuts.

Which is cheaper: Clipboard History Pro, Text Blaze, or Magical?

Text Blaze's Pro plan is the cheapest paid tier at $2.99/month billed yearly ($3.49 month-to-month). Clipboard History Pro Pro is $5.99/month or $60/year. Magical no longer publishes consumer pricing on its own site; third-party trackers and its own help documentation have listed a $10/month or roughly $120/year/seat Advanced plan. All three offer a free tier with a limited number of snippets.

Which has the best Chrome Web Store rating?

As of October 2026: Text Blaze is rated 4.9/5 from roughly 700,000-800,000 users. Magical is rated approximately 4.4-4.6/5 from about 3,500 ratings and 300,000 Chrome users. Clipboard History Pro is rated 3.0/5 from 787 ratings and 100,000 users -- the lowest of the three. We're working through a reliability backlog and link our fixes above rather than hide the number.

Is Magical still a consumer text expander?

The Magical Chrome extension still ships and updates (version 3.119.1 as of April 2026) and still functions as a text expander and autofill tool. But the company's own website now markets AI agents for healthcare operations rather than the consumer extension, and no longer publishes a self-serve pricing page -- you have to request a quote.

Does Clipboard History Pro work across devices like Text Blaze or Magical?

With Pro, Clipboard History Pro syncs clipboard history and text-expansion shortcuts across Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, plus companion iOS and Android apps. Text Blaze syncs across its browser extension and desktop apps (Windows and Mac) but has no clipboard-history feature. Magical is Chrome/Edge browser-only with no desktop or mobile app.
