A Magical alternative with a published price

Many people installed Magical as a free text expander. The company has since shifted its focus, and its site no longer shows a self-serve price. If you want simple text shortcuts plus a clipboard history, here is an option with the price on the page.

What changed at Magical

As of October 23, 2026, Magical's pricing page offers "Book a demo" and "Contact Sales" instead of a self-serve plan. The company's site now markets AI agents for healthcare operations, such as prior authorization and payment posting. Magical's site describes its product as running in the browser and as desktop applications.

The Magical browser extension may still do what you need. If your team uses Magical's autofill with CRM data, a plain text expander will not replace that. But if you mainly used it to type saved replies faster, you have simpler options.

Clipboard History Pro covers all three, and adds a history of everything you copy.

Moving your Magical shortcuts

There is no direct import from Magical. Moving the shortcuts you use most takes a few minutes:

  1. Install Clipboard History Pro.
  2. In Magical, open each shortcut you rely on and copy its text. Clipboard History Pro saves each copy automatically.
  3. Open Clipboard History Pro, find each item, and give it a shortcut. Use a prefix like : so normal words do not expand by accident.
  4. Star the most used ones as favorites. Favorites also appear in the right-click menu.

The free plan holds 5 shortcuts. If you had more in Magical, start the 14-day Pro trial to move all of them.

Other options

If you only need text expansion with advanced templates, Text Blaze is a strong choice with published pricing. If you need CRM autofill, talk to Magical's sales team. If you want shortcuts plus clipboard history, try Clipboard History Pro.
